For two men so opposite in nature, it is astonishing how well their differences complimented each other. Yet, for as much as Jefferson and Adams had differences they seemed to have the same passionate patriotism coursing through their blood, and a mutual consideration of being farmers first.
Jefferson is presented as such an interesting character. He always took such a critical and almost scientifc approach to life and gardening, yet he had a deep appreciation for the majesty of nature. We see this conflict of "Head and Heart" in his placement of Monticello up on the Blue Ridge Mountains.
