This blog is established as a resource and educational component for a newly developed class in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University. The class will utilize the published work of Andrea Wulf entitled Founding Gardeners. A component of each student's coursework will include blogging about various aspects of Wulf's publication and the student's interpretation of the impact of horticulture upon the creation of the American democracy, the botanical interests of the first four American presidents, and the vital aspect of gardening in the fabric of the American story. We invite you to join our journey for the fall of 2013 as we explore Issues in American Politics: Presidents and Gardens.
